Caffè Vergnano: tradition for over 100 years
Caffè Vergnano looks back on a long and traditional history. Founded in 1882 as a small grocery store in Chieri, a small town at the foot of the hills of Turin, the company was run by the grandfather of the current owner, Domenico Vergnano. This laid the foundation for the Vergnano family's true vocation. For in just a few years, the family members of the small store mastered the secrets of roasting and selling coffee. Now the company developed by leaps and bounds - and the first three Italian stores were opened in Turin, Alba and Chieri. The real leap forward, however, came in the 1930s as a result of a bold decision. The company acquired its own coffee plantation in Kenya.
Caffè Vergnano is committed to the environment
Since 1999, Caffè Vergnano has internalized the guiding principle of sustainability in the context of its business activities, because protecting the environment demonstrably also leads to a better quality of life. The premium roaster has therefore decided to comply with both mandatory and voluntary regulations on product safety and environmental protection. To achieve this goal, the quality department has been given the necessary financial resources.
