Aroma
Upon opening the package of Di Carlo Caffe Crema, the rich aroma is immediately apparent. This coffee consists entirely of high-quality 100% Arabica beans, grown at altitudes between 600 and 1800 meters. This so-called mountain coffee has a more intense aroma than Robusta coffee from lower areas. Thanks to direct vacuum packing after roasting, the aromas are optimally retained. During brewing, the delicious aroma is further enhanced. For its rich and refined aroma, we give the Di Carlo Caffe Crema the highest rating: 5 stars.
Taste
On closer inspection, the beans of this Italian coffee show some broken bits and husks. However, this does not affect the taste experience. At a fine grind, the distinctive Arabica flavor did not show up as well. After adjusting the grind level to coarser, a beautiful hazelnut-colored crema emerged and the flavor came into its own. Although the fine grind proved less suitable, the taste at coarser grinds is excellent. We rate the Di Carlo Caffe Crema 4 out of 5 stars.
