The decaffeination has been carried out in a natural way, i.e. with water. Before roasting, the green bean is immersed in water and this water is passed through an activated carbon filtration. This filtration will retain the caffeine. The bean is then immersed again in the filtered water, in which a large part of the aromas and essential oils of the coffee bean remain. The water is then evaporated, which allows the aromatic elements to be reattached to the coffee beans. You know the rest: Vergnano's careful roasting process. In the end, you get a full-flavoured blend, without the caffeine. After 5 p.m. you can drink Vergnano Decaffeinato without fear of insomnia.
