General instructions durgol swiss espresso guarantees effortless, quick and safe descaling of high-quality coffee machines of all types and brands. Descale your machine regularly and in good time, preferably every 3 months. For perfect maintenance of your machine and optimal quality of your coffee.
For descaling and rinsing, please refer to the manual of your coffee machine. Set the machine to the local water hardness. As soon as the de-scaling warning light lights up, the machine should be descaled. Decalcify the machine at the latest when the coffee brewing time is longer or when there is a noticeable increase in noise during brewing. Pour a portion (125 ml) of swiss espresso into the water tank. Add tap water until the amount recommended by the manufacturer is reached. The programme now starts automatically or can be started. Without descaling programme Pour a portion (125 ml) of swiss espresso into the water tank. Fill the reservoir with the same amount of tap water (125 ml). Pass this solution through the hot water outlet (caution: steam function off!).
If the machine does not have a hot water outlet, pour the solution through the coffee outlet. If the descaling process does not start: Fill the machine with water in portions until the descaling process can be started (the amount depends on the type). Allow the descaling solution to flow through the machine via the hot water outlet (or the coffee outlet). Then collect the liquid in a sufficiently large glass or plastic beaker. Caution: The liquid can be hot! Allow the used decalcifying solution to cool down before pouring it away. Rinse with plenty of water. Rinse out the water tank with water. Then rinse the machine with 1 or 2 fillings of water (for descaling programmes: rinse according to the instructions of your coffee machine).
Tip: After descaling, wipe the coffee machine with a damp cloth to remove any splashes of the descaling solution. Now you can enjoy your perfect cup of coffee again.
